For the Brave

Set in 1869, this story follows Matthew Gentry, a war veteran haunted by his experiences in the Civil War, as he navigates life after the conflict and confronts personal dangers, including a near-fatal flood. Alongside him is Annie Campbell, a solitary farm woman with secrets of her own, who finds herself caring for Matthew. As Matthew prepares to return home to his family, questions arise about where his heart truly belongs and the relationships he might rekindle.
