A Crafty Cigarette is a coming-of-age story set in the 1970s that follows a rebellious teenager from Sunbury-on-Thames as he discovers the Mod scene during the height of the Mod Revival. Through his journey into this vibrant subculture, he gains confidence and a new perspective on life, family, and friendship. The narrative traces his move to Walton-on-Thames in 1979, where he finds a community of like-minded peers and begins to find acceptance.
