Ongoingness

In Ongoingness, Sarah Manguso reflects on her twenty-five-year practice of keeping a meticulous diary, exploring themes of memory, mortality, and the passage of time. The memoir delves into how significant life events, such as pregnancy and childbirth, influence her relationship with self-documentation and the fleeting nature of experience. Through a spare and meditative tone, Manguso offers an honest meditation on impermanence, blending personal reflection with profound insights on existence.
