In the first installment of Leroy A. Peters’ Mountain Man series, fourteen-year-old Azariah Hancock flees his Maryland home after seeking justice for his sister, finding refuge and new purpose in St. Louis. There, he meets mountain man Liam O'Reilly, who becomes a mentor and guides him into a world of trapping and adventure.
