Jungle Nama

Jungle Nama is Amitav Ghosh's verse adaptation of a centuries-old legend from the Sundarban region, told through rhythmic twenty-four-syllable couplets that mirror the traditional Bengali verse meter. Illustrated by Salman Toor, the book brings to life the enchanting folk tale featuring characters such as a spirit tiger, the goddess Bon Bibi, and a merchant and his family.
