Little Star

"Little Star" is a historical fiction novel inspired by the experiences of Native American children sent to Indian boarding schools in New Mexico. The story follows Tarak, or Little Star, over more than thirty years as he endures the trauma of forced assimilation and abuse at the hands of a broken system. Through his journey, the novel explores themes of resilience, healing, and the struggle to reconnect with his native roots.
