Oradour: Villages des Martyrs

Located in the Haute Vienne region of France, the village of Oradour sur Glane is famously remembered for a tragic event in 1944, when it was site to a brutal massacre carried out by Nazi soldiers. The incident resulted in the death of over 600 civilians after false reports led to their systematic murder and the subsequent burning of the village.
