Sleeping Uglies

A starship captain returns to Earth after surviving a nearly insurmountable peril, finding his ship and crew in a state of distress and still in hyper sleep, centuries after they were believed to be destroyed. As humanity's pursuit of individuality leads to widespread genetic manipulation, only a limited number of standard models remain, threatening their uniqueness. The captain faces a new, complex challenge involving the preservation of individuality amid societal pressures for conformity.
