Bath's top detective, Peter Diamond, is asked to investigate a TV show plagued by misfortunes, but remains initially unconcerned due to his skepticism about the incidents. When a junior officer witnesses a near-death incident on set, Diamond is compelled to get involved, facing mounting pressure from the press and unforeseen challenges.
