The Athenian Constitution

The Constitution of the Athenians is an ancient work, attributed to Aristotle or his students, that details the political system of Athens. Preserved on papyrus fragments, it offers insights into the history of Athenian governance, including various constitutional forms and city institutions, covering periods from early kingship to democratic reforms. The text is divided into two parts: one exploring the evolution of Athens' political structure, and the other describing its civic institutions and governance processes.
