Temptation

Set in 1909, this story follows Temperance O'Neil, a determined woman helping single mothers in New York, who must travel to Scotland to follow her stepfather’s plan to find her a husband. Posing as a housekeeper for the rugged and unrefined James McCairn, the laird of Clan McCairn, she aims to succeed in her matchmaking mission and return home. As Temperance navigates her new environment and the challenges it brings, she discovers that her journey may lead to unexpected personal liberation.
