The Scent of Jasmine

Set in 1799 Charleston, this story follows Catherine Edilean Harcourt, a spirited Southern woman and gifted painter, who is drawn into a dangerous situation after fulfilling a favor for her godfather. Tasked with delivering a horse to an old friend's son—a man accused of murder—Cay finds herself on a tense journey through the Florida Everglades with a charismatic fugitive. As their paths intertwine, she must decide whether trusting him will lead to danger or the possibility of love and salvation.
