Gia Rossi returns to her hometown of Wakefield, Iowa, at her sister Margot's request to help care for their ailing mother, despite a past filled with teenage rebellion and unresolved tensions. Her homecoming reveals lingering conflicts, including her connection to her former favorite teacher, Mr. Hart, which complicates her efforts to reconnect and support her family.
