Combat Corpsman

Zachary Cannon joins the Navy with the goal of becoming a radiology tech to support his family, but he finds himself deployed as a corpsman with the Marine infantry in Iraq. Stationed in Ramadi during the intense conflict of 2006, he faces combat dangers, including insurgent attacks and IEDs, while providing medical aid. The experience challenges him to step beyond his role as a medic and become a full participant in the squad's combat efforts.
