The Lady and the Highwayman

Set in 1830s Victorian London, this story follows Elizabeth Black, a respected school headmistress and author who writes both genteel stories and sensational Penny Dreadfuls under a pseudonym, and Fletcher Walker, a successful working-class author whose popular persona, Charles King, begins to rival his own fame. As Fletcher seeks to uncover the mysterious Mr. King, Elizabeth's involvement leads to an adventurous game of deception and discovery, challenging social boundaries and sparking an unexpected connection between the two writers. Amidst intrigue, romance, and societal expectations, their collaboration tests loyalties and desires in a tale of mystery and forbidden sparks.
