Count Magnus

"Count Magnus," a classic paranormal story by M.R. James first published in 1904, is a chilling tale originally crafted for oral storytelling and often read aloud during Christmas. The story follows a traveler in Sweden who uncovers the dark history of the mysterious and foreboding figure, Count Magnus, through an ancient alchemical text. As the traveler explores the ominous past, the narrative hints at the peril of delving too deeply into such sinister histories.
