Snowdrop

The story begins with a queen who, while sewing during a snowy winter, inadvertently pricks her finger, causing three drops of blood to appear on the snow outside. She wishes for a daughter with skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony. Later, she gives birth to a daughter named Snow White, but her mother passes away in childbirth.
