Jorry and Seach Barlow respond to a friend's call for help, leading them into the dangerous environment of Saturn's rings and into trouble when their ship is damaged. They seek refuge at a secret station on Daphnis for repairs, but soon realize they are entangled in a complex web of danger involving deserters, the Consulate, and mysterious creatures. As they navigate family drama and mounting threats, they must confront their pasts to survive and escape Daphnis.
