The Crystal Prison

In this sequel to The Dark Portal, the Deptford mice settle into country life after overcoming a malevolent rat, but their peaceful existence is disrupted when their friend Oswald falls gravely ill. With the help of a mystical squirrel, Audrey encounters a broken-hearted former villainess, Madam Akkikuyu, who becomes entwined in their lives under unusual conditions. As the mice face a series of murders, suspicions arise within their community, revealing that a darker, supernatural evil may be returning.
