After the War

Following his return from combat abroad, Richard Stone, a World War II veteran and aspiring writer, seeks to keep his life simple and separate from emotional entanglements. However, his East Village neighbors, including a poet, a literary couple, and a widower concerned with global issues, gradually draw him into their personal dramas. As Richard navigates his connections and the possibility of new happiness, he confronts the complexities of life beyond his desire for solitude.
