The Vientiane Affair

In 1961 Laos, aid worker Janet McCann arrives amid mysterious circumstances, coinciding with the death of poultry expert Fred Jenkins, whose body is found in the Mekong River. When Jack Gold, an Agency operative, discovers a connection between Jenkins and the redheaded aid worker, an investigation into secrets passed to the Communists begins.
