Claude Izner is the shared pseudonym of French sisters Liliane Korb and Laurence Lefèvre, both former booksellers on the banks of the Seine with deep knowledge of nineteenth-century Paris. They began writing together under the name in 2003 with Murder on the Eiffel Tower, launching the Victor Legris mystery series about a Parisian bookseller and amateur detective. Their historical crime novels became international bestsellers, translated into several languages.
