Raymond W. Thorp (1896–1966) was an American nonfiction writer known for popular books about the American West, frontier figures, and unusual subjects. His works include Bowie Knife (1948), Spirit Gun of the West (1957), and Crow Killer: The Saga of Liver-Eating Johnson (1958), co-written with Robert Bunker. He also wrote The Black Widow Spider (1945).
