Sergey Dyachenko (1945–2022) was a Ukrainian writer, screenwriter, and former psychiatrist who wrote primarily in Russian. He became best known as the co-author, with Marina Dyachenko, of numerous novels, short stories, plays, and screenplays, including The Scar, Vita Nostra, and Age of Witches. Their award-winning fiction blends imaginative storytelling with psychological, philosophical, and literary concerns.
