Junior Bernard is a Haitian-born author who moved to the United States in 2010 after surviving the devastating Haiti earthquake. He earned a Communications and Media degree from Alvernia University in 2014 and began writing about his life experiences while sharing his story with others. His debut book, Persist, Persist, Persist: The Haitian Boy, The American, and The Hidden Lesson, is a memoir about perseverance, migration, hardship, and pursuing the American dream.
