John M. Butler is an internationally recognized forensic DNA scientist and author of six editions of the textbook series Forensic DNA Typing. He has also written religious nonfiction addressing DNA, the Book of Mormon, and Latter-day Saint scholarship, including Let's Talk About Misconceptions with DNA and the Book of Mormon. Butler is a NIST Fellow and Special Assistant to the Director for Forensic Science.
