Donald J. Harreld is an American historian and author specializing in the social and economic history of late medieval and early modern Europe, particularly the Netherlands and European commerce. A former Brigham Young University history professor and executive director of the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference, he has written High Germans in the Low Countries, edited A Companion to the Hanseatic League, published scholarly articles, and presented The Great Courses audiobook An Economic History of the World since 1400.
