Terrence Holt is an American writer, physician, and educator whose fiction has appeared in literary journals and prize anthologies, including the O. Henry Prize Stories. After teaching English at Rutgers University and Swarthmore College, he became a geriatrician and later returned to writing. He is the author of the short-story collections In the Valley of the Kings and Internal Medicine, as well as the novel Soldiers & Sailors, and teaches medicine and creative writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
