Aline Ohanesian is an Armenian American novelist whose debut, Orhan’s Inheritance, was a critically acclaimed historical novel about the Armenian Genocide and its aftermath. Born in Kuwait and raised in Southern California, she earned an M.A. in history before leaving a Ph.D. program to pursue fiction. Her work has received major literary recognition, including PEN/Bellwether and Flaherty-Dunnan honors, and Orhan’s Inheritance has been translated into 13 languages.
