Catherine Barr is a British children’s nonfiction author who studied ecology, campaigned with Greenpeace, and trained as a journalist before becoming an editor at London’s Natural History Museum. She now writes nature- and science-focused books for children, blending factual information with compelling true stories to inspire conservation. She has written more than 35 books, including The Story of Life, Fourteen Wolves, The Wolves of Yellowstone, and A Bear Belongs.
