Madhuri Shekar is an award-winning Indian American playwright and screenwriter whose work spans theater, audio drama, film, television, and web series. She is best known for the Audible Original Evil Eye, which won the 2020 Audie Award for Best Original Work, as well as plays including Queen, House of Joy, A Nice Indian Boy, In Love and Warcraft, and Dhaba on Devon Avenue. She is a Juilliard playwriting alumna, a New Dramatists fellow, and a former staff writer for HBO’s The Nevers.
