Dennis L. McKiernan is an American author best known for his Mithgar high-fantasy novels, including The Iron Tower trilogy and the Silver Call books. After serving in the U.S. Air Force and working for 31 years as an electrical engineer at AT&T Bell Laboratories, he began writing novels in 1977 and later became a full-time writer. He has published more than 30 fantasy works, along with science-fiction and mystery novels, short stories, and a graphic novel.
