JJ Staples began writing poetry long before publishing her first novel, Deflowered Lyric, drawing on years of personal writing as well as a 35-year corporate career producing reports, articles, and business plans. She later wrote Tears of the Deflowered: Silent No More and Crossroads: Joy Comes in the Morning, combining emotionally charged storytelling with Christian themes, trauma recovery, and social advocacy. Staples is also a published author, child sexual-abuse survivor and advocate, and CEO of Staples Enterprises.
