Thomas F. X. Noble is an American medieval historian and professor emeritus at the University of Notre Dame. He is the author, coauthor, or editor of numerous books and more than 60 scholarly articles, chapters, and essays, with writing focused on late antiquity, medieval Europe, the papacy, Christianity, and Western civilization. He has also presented multiple educational audiobook and lecture series for The Great Courses, including The Foundations of Western Civilization.
