Charles Krauthammer (1950–2018) was a Pulitzer Prize-winning American syndicated columnist, essayist, author, and political commentator. He wrote for The New Republic and The Washington Post, where his nationally syndicated column appeared in hundreds of newspapers and earned the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. His books include Things That Matter and the posthumously published The Point of It All, collections of his political, personal, historical, and philosophical writing.
