Emily Conroy-Krutz is a historian of nineteenth-century America specializing in the global history of the early American republic. Her writing focuses on American empire, Protestant missions, religion, reform, and U.S. foreign relations. She is the author of Christian Imperialism: Converting the World in the Early American Republic (2015) and Missionary Diplomacy: Religion and Nineteenth-Century American Foreign Relations (2024), and teaches at Michigan State University.
