Steve Silberman (1957–2024) was an American science journalist, author, editor, and longtime writer for Wired. His reporting covered technology, medicine, culture, and human cognition, including the influential article “The Geek Syndrome” about autism in Silicon Valley. His 2015 book NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity was an award-winning work of narrative science nonfiction.
