His reporting covered technology, medicine, culture, and human cognition, including the influential article “The Geek Syndrome” about autism in Silicon Valley. His 2015 book NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity was an award-winning work of narrative science nonfiction.
