Samuel Bjørk is the pen name of Norwegian novelist, playwright, and singer-songwriter Frode Sander Øien. He began writing for the stage at 21 and debuted as a crime novelist in 2013 with the Mia Krüger and Holger Munch series. His novels, including I'm Traveling Alone and The Owl Always Hunts at Night, became international bestsellers, and he has also written plays, released albums, and translated Shakespeare.
