Laura McNeal is an American author, freelance journalist, and former English teacher who writes both adult and young adult fiction. She has published several acclaimed young adult novels with her husband, Tom McNeal, as well as solo novels including Dark Water, a 2010 National Book Award finalist, The Practice House, The Incident on the Bridge, and The Swan’s Nest. She holds an MA in fiction writing from Syracuse University.
