Christina Schwarz is an American novelist raised in rural Wisconsin who studied English at Yale and taught high school while writing her debut novel, Drowning Ruth. Published in 2000, the novel became a number-one New York Times bestseller and an Oprah’s Book Club selection. She has since published five novels, including All Is Vanity, The Edge of the Earth, and Bonnie, writing across contemporary and historical settings with an emphasis on complex relationships, secrets, and psychological tension.
