Anne Coates studied English and French before beginning a career in London publishing and magazine journalism. She later worked as a freelance writer, editor, and translator, writing seven nonfiction books and contributing to newspapers and magazines. Her journalism inspired the Hannah Weybridge crime-thriller series, beginning with Dancers in the Wind and followed by Death’s Silent Judgement and later novels.
