M.E. Proctor was born in Brussels and lives in Texas. She writes the Declan Shaw PI series, including Love You Till Tuesday and Catch Me on a Blue Day, as well as the short-story collections Family and Other Ailments and A Book to Live By. She has also co-authored retro-noir fiction, published stories in crime and speculative-fiction magazines and anthologies, and received Shamus and Derringer Award nominations.
