Yu Okano is a Japanese fantasy novelist who began writing on the user-generated fiction site Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Their debut published work was The Ordinary Soldier Dreams of the Past, first released in 2014. Okano later created The Unwanted Undead Adventurer, which began online serialization in 2016 and was published as a light novel by Overlap from 2017; they have also written several other fantasy light-novel series.
