Joan Hall Hovey is a Canadian freelance writer and novelist from New Brunswick who built her career writing suspense fiction. Her novels Listen to the Shadows and Nowhere to Hide were published by Zebra Books, followed by works including Chill Waters, Night Corridor, The Abduction of Mary Rose, Defective, and The Deepest Dark. She has also published short stories and articles in Canadian and U.S. newspapers and magazines, taught creative writing, and received recognition for her suspense writing.
