Vanessa O’Connell is an award-winning journalist and author who worked as a reporter at The Wall Street Journal for 17–18 years, covering corporate America, tobacco, alcohol, guns, insider trading, and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. She later became a Reuters business editor and co-authored Wheelmen, an investigative account of Lance Armstrong’s doping scandal and the culture and business of competitive cycling.
