Samantha Greene Woodruff is the author of the bestselling historical fiction novels The Lobotomist’s Wife (2022) and The Trade Off (2024). She holds a history degree from Wesleyan University and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, and spent fifteen years at Viacom’s Nickelodeon before studying writing at Sarah Lawrence College. Her essays and articles have appeared in publications including Newsweek, Writer’s Digest, LitHub, and Female First.
