Shay Davis is a Philadelphia-born author of contemporary Black romance and urban fiction. She began writing in high school and released her debut novel in July 2020, later publishing numerous novels, novellas, and audiobooks, including The Marriage Contract, Stay a Little Longer, Playing with Fire, Dough Dreams, and Remedy: Love in Scrubs. A paralegal by day, Davis draws on emotional experiences and Philadelphia settings to create passionate stories centered on Black love and relationships.
