Xan van Rooyen is an award-winning autistic, non-binary storyteller from South Africa who lives in Finland. They write science fiction and fantasy for adult and young-adult readers, including queer, dark, and myth-inspired fiction, and have published novels such as My Name Is Magic, By the Blood of Rowans, Silver Helix, and Obscura Burning. Their short fiction has appeared in venues including Three-Lobed Burning Eye, Daily Science Fiction, and Galaxy’s Edge; some earlier works were published under the name Suzanne van Rooyen.
