Karen Thompson Walker is an American novelist and former book editor who began writing her debut novel, The Age of Miracles, in the mornings before work. A graduate of UCLA and Columbia’s MFA program, she has since published The Dreamers and The Strange Case of Jane O., blending literary prose with speculative and psychologically driven storytelling. She is also an associate professor of creative writing at the University of Oregon.
