Friday Turner is the historical-mystery pen name of British author Heather Cooper. She grew up in northern Lancashire, studied at the University of Durham and the London College of Printing, and worked in publishing at Westerham Press, Faber & Faber, and Eel Pie Publishing. As Heather Cooper, she writes historical novels; as Friday Turner, she writes World War II detective fiction, including The Country House Murders and the Polly Hope Mysteries.
